So, i was thinking yesterday. Where should we draw the line with fluff Vs WYSIWYG, I mean I don't know any marine players that put grenades on all of their models which is to the meanest of rules lawyers against WYSIWYG (same with both bolt pistols and bolters on ever model) but they are not for fluff reasons but for ease.

Fluff: Why do ships always fight on the same level.
These ludicrous thoughts were scrawled by
Gamers World
at
9:09:00 am
So, I was thinking, in all the fluff ships fly past each other launching broadsides at each other etc but there is no gravity in space. Why don't they fly under each other on their sides launching broadsides and the enemies underside and why don't they warp jump and come out pointing straight up towards the enemy to create a letter T, this would allow the lance batteries to fire at the underside and wreak havoc.
It's just a thought, try and prove me wrong either with a reason why they don't or a time when this happens in the fluff.
Thanks for reading,
Jacob.

So, I was thinking, who are the good guys of 40k, is it the imperium fighting aliens and chaos, but also destroying plaents with pollution and ignoring any way other than their own, is is the advancing Tau, only fighting when they are provoked or people disagree with them and even after fighting offer their enemies a place in their own ranks, is it the illustrious Eldar, preserving rarther than advancing or is it chaos, trying to destroy everything and let the galaxy become completely natural (well, that's one view another is cold hearted, greedy killers). Which do you think, tell us people, if I get some results then this may become a poll.

Hi, Jacob here, I should be back posting regularly from now as I am back at school and have a proper routine. So, onto the real post:
I had an idea today, I have always loved reaing other peoples fluff and background stroies but I find everything is scattered about the place, so I was thinking, if there is any interest then I could get people to send me their fluff then I could publish it on the internet as a document using this document sharing site I know. So, if you would be interested then please comment or drop me a line at:
jacobgamer@live.com
If I get around a minimum of 10 people then I think I will probably go ahead with this. Thanks for reading,
Jacob.

Fluff: Iconography.
These ludicrous thoughts were scrawled by
Gamers World

When painting an army it is important to carry out a cohesive theme in some way, be it it army markings or even just colour. The hard part is fining the right icon. Some have a general meaning like sword=war but some have a much deeper meaning like shattered sword=dark angels and all there background.
I have chosen ragnar for my wolves, this means that all of the other chapter symbols which come in the space wolf kits need to just be generalised and not revered so they will be all painted gold or something along those lines whereas the Ragnar symbols will be distinct.
This helps everything to fit together and look like 1 army. Just like the fact that my wolf guard use a different colour scheme to my regular guys but it is similar steps to tie them in whilst still marking them out.
So when you paint that saim-hann symbol just think about the meaning behind tat symbol.

Jacob.

Marines: Chainsword, should it work and are it's rules right.
These ludicrous thoughts were scrawled by
Gamers World
at
11:09:00 am
Hi, today I thought i'd talk about a relatively hotly debated topic on chainswords. No.1 is whether they should actually work and no.2 is what they should do in game.
No.1: Argument 1 is that a whirling bladewould just bounce of anything armored. I mean the teeth would turn so fast they would kick the weapon back. Also some armies have them whiring on both sides mening that they are just and dangerous to the user as the enemy.
Argument 2 is that space marines are strong enough and they thing whirs quick enough with very sharp blades that they could stop the kick and still cut propperly. The bit about it being dangerous to the user can be countered by the fact that space marines should not be overpowered so it should never come close to them in a sword lock. Some say they would be unweildy but space marines are increibly strong and could conter that.
No.2 In game they are just considered CCW's but in books they are an incredible weapon of destruction! So, maybe they should be alterative power weapons and you should be able to take combat blades as CCW's. That would make more sence to me.
So, what is you position on this. Do you like the chainsword thing or think it is silly. Tell us.

Fluff: The two missing Primarchs theorys and cannon round up!
These ludicrous thoughts were scrawled by
Gamers World

10:38:00 am
So, as part of this week I said I would find some stuff as well as write it. So last night I spend a couple of hours looking for threads that had good info, here are a load of links:
Relic News
Heresy Online
40K online
Dakka Dakka (or at least one of their many ones)
Interesting topic
Now are a few things that I thought interesting if you want more then use the links, anyway, on with the stuff:
The two lost Primarchs might represent the two completely lost roman legions in Roman history.
The two Primarchs may be in halo andbghost stars etc where the emperor's light can't reach.
One of them may be Sigmar from fanatsy. This is shown in some of the threads but one big clue is the fact his symbol is a two tailed comet and all the primarchs arrived via a comet.
It is a new theory to me but it seem pretty solid that the warhammer world is in the 40k universe be either constantly covered by warp storms or in the eye of terror. This has been proven in some of the older fluff!
Here is a quote from one guy:
'A reasonable suggestion I've seen before was that they rebelled against the Emperor not due to Chaos influence but due to their own beliefs. Without an outside source to blame for their "corruption" records of them were removed to preserve a notion of infallibility or undoubtable morality for the Emperor.'
So, what do you think of this new style of post, do you like it. Tell me please.

Jacob.

Fluff: My force (space marines).
These ludicrous thoughts were scrawled by
Gamers World
at
8:58:00 am
HI, this post is in answer to a comment on a previous post asking me to post up my fluff for my marine force. So here it is:
The whole force 1: My force is a compilation of forces from different chapters. There is most of the Terran Hands force, the remnants of a Salamander specialist company called 'The Dark Inferno' and a very small detachment of silver skulls that was found by the battle force.
Terran Hands: the Terran Hands are succesors of the Ultramarine and Imperial Fists, when making the chapter the gene seed of the two primarchs was mixed creating a special breed of space maine. My chapter is not pompous like Ultramarines but are extremely hardend fighters that will never break, though they do have high tactical acumen and may 'tactically withdraw' if the situation commands it. The Terran Hands adore Land Raiders but are only in posation of 3, all of which remain permanatly on the battle barge because there is only 10 tech marines between my entire battle force and all of the LR are in a terrible state of repair.
Once the Terran hands were a stong chapter of prowess, but when most of the chapter was intercepted by some dark eldar trickery, pulling the entire chapter into a terrible warp storm that left only about 200 marines which were all contained on the flagship of the chapter 'Awesome Terra', after this attack the flagship was blasted out of the warp above a planet called XX3II8-911-XX* or Magma Imperialis, Here fought the Dark Inferno Salamanders.
Dark Inferno Salamanders: This specialist company was left sor dead fighting in a continent sized volcano against a warp worshiping fire spirit army, by the time the Terran Hands arrived the 300 strong company had barely 70 men left and almost all were injured. The Terran Hands had no choice but to help the Salamanders and by the time the fire spirits were defeated the company numbered about 100 men so when a very tiny detatchment of lost Silver Skulls joined them they welcomed it like water to parched lips.
On the subject of what these Salamanders are, they are just normal sallies but all highly experienced veterans, each sergeant is worthy of being a command squader and each marine has had around 300 years of experience, even the scouts have fought of decades on end.
Silver skulls : just normal Silver skulls.
Hole force2: Now all these guys fight together trying to hunt down remenants of chapters and kill Dark elves.
Hope you enjoyed this fluff.
Thanks for reading,
Jacob.

Fluff: Your own Space marine (any varient including chaos) chapter.
These ludicrous thoughts were scrawled by

6:39:00 am
Hi guys, today I have something for everyone one to talk about. It is fluff for a marine chapter (could be a chapter you've made could just be an idea) it can be any varient including chaos.
Just write something as simple as:
Terran Hands: Succesors of both imperial fists and ultramarines (gene seed mixed), chapter almost lost and has united with a small part of the Salamanders and Silver skulls. Love Land raiders but have only 3 so employ other chapters as much as possible. Favour a tactical view on the battle field but each is very brave.
So comment in your chapter/ legion you can put in as much effort as you want, the reason I am doing this is to see just how many DIY chapters there are out there so please send in your fluff.

Hi guys, I finally have a camera now so I have been on a pic marathon. Here we go:

Now for the real work, this is my WIP Slaaneshi squad.
The command
A close up on the banner.

And a random dude.

Nurgle time. This is a squad from a while back, I am pretty pleased with them but I forgot to take pics of their capes which are some of the best bits.

Now this guy is a 'Chaosling' They are men borne to close to chaos and never grew very tall as the raw essence of chaos flows through them, they are generally magicians and nomatter what god they worship, a tripe wants them. This one is a conversion and is devoted to tzeench. I mad up the stuff about chaoslings. The thing be his side is a count as fammiliar.
Another pic.
And another.
A cappy that still needs some work but is getting there

Taccy squad!

WIP maurauders!, flail heaven. The silver members are the young members of the trip that are not as devoted as the others so don't show as much heritige as the others.

And so ladies and gentalmen, that is all for today, more pics to come and my tutorial on mud basing will have pics too.
Remember that post a while a go about random stuff, well here it is, Legolas Merry and a warboss (AoBR but the back of his claw is missing). Just a bit of fun painting.

Hi guys, this is a propper update:
Now for the scouts, this is just a straight out of the box dude.

Sorry about the blur but this is the side shot of a sergeant, the squad comp is a bit weird as I have 1 bolter scout, 1 shotgun scout, two bolt pistol and chainsword scouts and a heavy bolter scout already so this squad has 1 BP and CS, 2 bolters, 1 BP and PwrW, 1 combi plasma and PP guy.

And another shot where you can see the bolter bit of the built in shoulder mounted combi-plasma.

The other sergeant with a power weapon.
These guys are the AoBR termies and they are being painted like silver skulls to go with my crusade theme, my land raider will be adjusted to be silver skulls aswell.
Now for some WIP assault marines, I didn't give them running legs as I can find better uses for those.

Salamanders: Long awaited update.
These ludicrous thoughts were scrawled by

Hi, sorry for not posting for a while, I have a propper update now

I gave the metal a green wash so it looked old and over used.

Now for the cappy, he still needs some work.
One side of the power weapon, it is supposed to look like it is hot at the tip as it was forged through lava, I could get into that but I'll just say it's like lord of the rings when they make the ring only with more fire.

Now for the marines, this first one is the missile launcher dude, most of them don't have weapons or back packs.

This guy you have seen before.
Now for the sergeant. His face wash highlighted brown then washed black.

Sorry for the slight blur in this one.
This dread is nearly done the arms just need finishing.
I gave the metal a green wash so it looked old and over used.
Now for the cappy, he still needs some work.
All the shadows in these pics were natural, I hope you enjoy them.
